Sebastian Mason makes his first appearance in chapter 1, "3007." He is the father and husband of the Mason family.
Sebastian was originally born and raised at the International Space Station. When living conditions there began to deteriorate, Sebastian and his family ventured to Planet X — Planet Nibiru — as a potential new home for humanity.
Once war broke out between the humans and the native Nibirian people, the humans lost the battle and were made indentured servants on Planet Nibiru. However, Sebastian and the rest of the Mason family managed to escape before the entire human race was fully enslaved — starting a new life on Earth.
The Mason family's story is one of survival across worlds — fleeing one crisis only to land in another, finding in each other the resilience to keep going.
Escaping Nibiru: While most of humanity was enslaved on Planet Nibiru after losing the war with the Nibirians, Sebastian led his family to escape — one of the few families who managed to reach Earth and start over.
