DBE Publishing needs a skilled Book Blurb Writer to craft compelling back-cover copy and marketing descriptions for DBEBooks titles. Your words will be the first thing potential readers see — and the deciding factor in whether they pick up the book.
- Write back-cover blurbs, jacket copy, and marketing descriptions for DBEBooks titles
- Develop taglines, loglines, and short-form promotional copy
- Adapt descriptions for Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other retail platforms
- Collaborate with authors and editors to capture the essence of each book
- Write copy for pre-order campaigns and book launch materials
Qualifications
- Exceptional copywriting skills with a strong portfolio
- Understanding of what makes book copy compelling and commercial
- Ability to capture voice and tone from a manuscript
- Experience writing for publishing, marketing, or entertainment
Nice to Have- Background in literary copywriting or book marketing
- Familiarity with science fiction, urban fiction, or multicultural genres
