Lotus creatures are a group of mutant hybrid creatures created as a result of nuclear warfare in 2050. Many creatures died in the initial blasts; those who survived underwent a chemical reaction from the nuclear bombs. The majority of Lotus creatures are poisonous and have scales covering their entire bodies. There are thousands living in the outskirts of The City of Neoterra.
They are brutally violent. Due to chemical imbalances from absorbed compounds, they inherited predator tendencies. Most Lotus creatures are wild and cannot be tamed. However, those with traces of human or high-IQ species DNA can learn — and can be domesticated.
The tendency of a Lotus is menacing and designed to kill. They use terrain and fear as weapons: if anyone invades their territory or poses a threat, a Lotus will prey, attack, capture, and consume. They find thrill in chaos and killing.
In combat, Lotus creatures can fight against larger animals using leverage, technique, and superior positioning — applying chokes, holds, locks, and joint manipulations much like a snake. They are acrobatic, fast, and extremely strong, but with a cowardly streak similar to a hyena. They use mobbing behavior to drive away larger predators. Lotus creatures hunt in packs — where there is one, there are almost certainly more.
